Dear Central Families,
Pennridge Central first opened its doors in the fall of 1998. Over the years, Central has exemplified the Pennridge motto of Proud, Principled, and Prepared. As one of three middle schools in the district, Central prides itself on providing a safe yet challenging environment, with a deep understanding of adolescent learners. To demonstrate this understanding, Central students are exposed to academic experiences that mirror current best practices and have various opportunities to show their strengths in the classroom as well as in our athletic and extra-curricular programs.
Central has also created a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework which serves as an evidenced-based, tiered system of support and practices geared toward improving student outcomes. This framework is grounded in our mission of Being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
I continue to be impressed by the high levels of excitement and eagerness of our students as well as the genuine warmth and commitment of our highly qualified staff. It is this energy of our middle-level learners, teachers, and parent community that drives my work.
As I embark on my 5th year as Central’s Principal, I remain committed to honoring what we do well and reflecting on that which we can do better as we strive to unlock every child’s potential.
