School Board FAQ
The Board of School Directors believes that an informed and involved community helps all stakeholders. The Board invites you to attend School Board and Committee meetings and take an active role in the educational affairs of your community. The Board encourages all parents and community members to remain constructively engaged in your schools by expressing your views, communicating with Board members, and participating in parent-teacher groups or on special committees, when possible.
- Regular Board meetings are held monthly at 6:30pm and are open to the public or through livestream. All meetings are published and posted at least 24 hours before the time of the meeting (per Board Policy #006) in local media and on the website. All official business is conducted publicly except when the matter involves any issues enumerated in statute for which the Board may meet in a private executive session.
- Major committees meet regularly to plan, review, and discuss items within the focus of the committee. Board Directors, as well as Administrative personnel, serve on district committees where proposals are prepared for the entire Board. Committee meetings typically start at 6:30 PM and are open to the public or available through a livestream.
- Community members attending in person may sign up to provide public comment at the meeting.

Ron Wurz
Pennridge School Board President
Dear Pennridge Community,
I extend warm greetings to all of you and welcome you to the Pennridge School Board's official web page. Recognizing the challenges involved in attending committee and board meetings, we aim to provide a centralized platform for you to access the latest updates on board business. This web page will serve as a valuable resource for news, frequently asked questions, and clarifications on various issues under consideration. Our commitment is to offer the most accurate and up-to-date information related to school board matters.
While we encourage you to attend in-person meetings or watch them online, this may not always be feasible. Therefore, we invite you to utilize our web page as a convenient alternative. Additionally, you are welcome to express your thoughts by commenting publicly during committee and board meetings or by emailing us at PSDSchoolboard@pennridge.org. This email address ensures your message is delivered to all nine Board members and our Superintendent.
Our primary objective is to foster open communication and transparency. Remaining connected and well-informed is crucial in our collective efforts to provide our students with the best possible education within a supportive environment.
Your participation is essential, and we value your input. Attend our public meetings, send us direct emails with your comments, concerns, or questions, and stay informed through our "PSBR - Pennridge School Board Review" newsletters. These newsletters provide recaps of board meetings, links to monthly videos, and Board Docs specific to each meeting. You can access the latest edition by clicking the link for the "School Board Monthly Updates" on the right of this page.
Thank you for your continued engagement and commitment to the success of our schools. Our objective is to create an educational environment that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.
Sincerely,
Ron Wurz
President, Pennridge School Board
