The Board of School Directors believes that an informed and involved community helps all stakeholders. The Board invites you to attend School Board and Committee meetings, and take an active role in the educational affairs of your community. The Board encourages all parents and community members to remain constructively engaged in your schools by expressing your views, communicating with Board members, and participating in parent-teacher groups or on special committees, when possible.
Regular Board meetings are held monthly at 7:00 PM and are open to the public or through livestream. A schedule of meetings is posted on our calendar and is updated regularly to reflect any changes. All meetings are published and posted at least 24 hours before the time of the meeting (per Board Policy #006) in local media and on the website. All official business is conducted publicly except when the matter involves any issues enumerated in statute for which the Board may meet in a private executive session. Major committees meet regularly to plan, review, and discuss items within the focus of the committee. Board Directors, as well as Administrative personnel, serve on district committees where proposals are prepared for the entire Board. Board Meeting Public Comment: Community members attending in person may sign up to provide public comment at the meeting. Please note, comments on agenda items will occur during the first comment section, with all other comments occuring during the second comment section.
