📢 SchoolMessenger Communication System

At Pennridge School District, we use SchoolMessenger to keep families informed and connected. This reliable, secure communication platform is how we deliver important messages via phone calls, emails, and text messages—including:

  • Emergency alerts

  • Attendance notifications

  • Weather-related delays

  • General announcements from the district or your child’s school

✉️ How It Works

SchoolMessenger uses the contact information you’ve provided to the school—so it’s important to keep your phone numbers and email addresses up to date. These can be updated in the Powerschool Parent Portal or by calling the school.

You’ll receive messages in one or more of the following ways:

  • Phone Calls: Automated voice messages to your mobile or home phone.

  • Emails: Sent to the email addresses you’ve provided.

  • Text Messages: Optional, but highly recommended.

You can customize how you receive messages by creating a SchoolMessenger account at https://go.schoolmessenger.com or in the SchoolMessenger app (see links below).

🏫 SafeArrival – Report Absences Quickly and Securely

SafeArrival is part of the SchoolMessenger platform and is designed to simplify absence reporting and help ensure student safety.

You can report your child’s absence 24/7 using any of the three easy options below. When you report an absence through SafeArrival, it automatically updates our attendance system—no need to call the school directly!

📞 Option 1: Call the Toll-Free Number

Dial: 1-888-292-9573

How to use it:

  1. Call from a phone number listed on your child’s student record.

  2. Follow the voice prompts to:

    • Identify your child

    • Choose the absence date

    • Provide the reason (illness, appointment, etc.)

    • Indicate full-day or partial-day absence

  3. Confirm and hang up—it’s that easy!

💻 Option 2: Use the Website

Go to: https://go.schoolmessenger.com

Steps:

  1. Click “Sign Up” if you don’t already have an account (use your email on file with the school).

  2. Log in and select “Report an Absence.”

  3. Enter the required details and submit.

This works on any browser, no download required.

📱 Option 3: Use the Mobile App

Download the SchoolMessenger App:

Once installed:

  1. Log in using the email address you gave the school.

  2. Tap “Attendance” and then “Report an Absence.”

  3. Follow the prompts and submit.

You can also manage how you receive messages (call, email, text) right in the app.

If an absence isn’t reported by the start of the school day, SchoolMessenger will automatically call and message parents to confirm the reason. That’s our way of making sure every student is safe and accounted for.
