Q1: What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal and Mobile App?
The PowerSchool Parent Portal allows parents to view their child’s grades, assignments, attendance, schedules, school bulletins, and more through:
- PowerSchool Parent Portal – A website accessible from any desktop or laptop.
- PowerSchool Mobile App – Available for iPhone/iOS and Android devices.
Q2: How do I create a new parent account?
You must use a desktop or laptop to create a new account (this cannot be done via the mobile app). Follow these steps:
- Go to the PowerSchool Parent Portal website.
- Click the Create Account tab, then select Create Account again.
- Enter the required details and click Enter to complete the setup.
- Important: Store your username and password securely!
Once your account is created, you can use the same login credentials for the PowerSchool Mobile App.
Q3: Where do I get my Access ID and Access Password to create my account?
Your student’s school building secretary provides this information after verifying your identity. If you have multiple students, you must contact each school separately.
Note: The Helpdesk cannot provide this information—only the school secretary can.
Q4: What is the Pennridge School District Code for the PowerSchool Mobile App?
District Code: QJRS
Q5: I forgot my username. How can I recover it?
Try these steps:
- Click Forgot Username or Password on the login page.
- Select the Forgot Username tab.
- Enter the email address associated with your account.
- Click Enter (or in the app, click Recover Parent Username).
An email will be sent with your username. Note: This email may take several hours to arrive.
If you still need help, contact your student’s school secretary (they can see your username but NOT your password).
Q6: How do I reset my password?
- Click Forgot Username or Password on the login page.
- Enter your username and the email address associated with your account.
- Click Enter (or in the app, click Request Parent Password Reset).
- Check your email for a password reset link (this may take a few hours).
- Follow the link to create a new password.
- Log in to confirm your new password works.
Q7: I didn’t receive the ‘Forgot Username’ or ‘Forgot Password’ email. What should I do?
If the email hasn’t arrived after a few hours:
✅ Check your spam/junk folder – Sometimes these emails get filtered.
✅ Add powerschool@cliu.org to your Safe Senders list – This prevents emails from being blocked.
✅ Ensure you entered the correct email address – If unsure, use the Forgot Username option or contact your school’s secretary.
Reminder: School secretaries can provide your username, but NOT your password.
Q8: How do I add another student to my existing PowerSchool account?
- Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal on a desktop or laptop.
- Click Account Preferences in the left menu.
- Select the Students tab.
- Click Add (+) and follow the instructions.
📌 Note: This feature is NOT available on the mobile app. You must use the website.
Q9: How do I update my name, email, username, or password?
- Log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal on a desktop or laptop.
- Click Account Preferences in the left menu.
- Go to the Profile tab and update your information.
- Click Save.
📌 Note: Profile updates cannot be made via the mobile app.
Q10: Why do I see a message saying a feature (like GPA) is ‘disabled’?
Some PowerSchool features are intentionally disabled at Pennridge:
- GPA, Meal Balance, and Fees are disabled for all grade levels.
- Curriculum grades are not available for elementary students (K-5).
If you believe a feature was disabled in error, contact your student’s school secretary.
Q11: How do I download and use the PowerSchool Mobile App?

Q12: I get an ‘Invalid Username or Password’ error on the PowerSchool Mobile App. What should I do?
If you can log into the website but not the mobile app, the issue may be:
🔹 Username capitalization – The mobile app is case-sensitive, but the website is not.
🔹 Incorrect username – Recover it by clicking Forgot Username or Password on the website.
🔹 Incorrect password – Reset it using the Forgot Password option.
If issues persist, contact your student’s school secretary for username verification.
