Dr. Angelo Berrios III

Superintendent of Pennridge Schools

Dr. Berrios joined the Pennridge School District community on October 30, 2023. Before that, he served with distinction as Principal of Abington Senior High School from 2013 until October 27, 2023. During his tenure at Abington, he co-led numerous district-wide initiatives, including large-scale construction projects, the expansion of career pathway programs, innovative scheduling reforms, and a host of student-centered initiatives.

Before assuming the role of principal, Dr. Berrios served as an Assistant Principal and Social Studies teacher at Abington. Throughout his time in the district, he cultivated a culture of collaboration, trust, and academic excellence among students, staff, and the broader school community. At Pennridge, Dr. Berrios remains steadfast in his commitment to fostering a thriving educational environment rooted in high expectations, inclusive practices, and strong community partnerships.

Dr. Berrios is also a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, where he served as an Infantryman/Machine Gunner (0331) from 1991 to 1995. He completed two deployments with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable (22 MEUSOC), participating in Operations Provide Promise, Deny Flight, and Sharp Guard. His military service instilled in him the core values of honor, courage, and commitment—principles that continue to guide his educational leadership.

Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Dr. Berrios earned a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from The Pennsylvania State University at University Park and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University. He earned his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley University.

A resident of Bedminster, Dr. Berrios is deeply invested in the Pennridge community and takes great pride in serving its students and families. “I am beyond honored to serve the Pennridge School District family. I am committed to working collaboratively with our dedicated educators, staff, parents, and community members to ensure that every student receives an exceptional education that prepares them for a successful future. We will foster a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and academic excellence—empowering our students to excel and thrive in a rapidly changing world. Education is the cornerstone of our society. As such, I will continue to build upon the Pennridge School District’s successes and help forge a path toward even more remarkable achievements.”
