Breakfast is FREE for all Pennridge school students. 

The Free Breakfast Program and Reduced Lunches now qualify as FREE for the 2025 – 2026 school year!
Governor Shapiro announced a universal free school breakfast program for all Pennsylvania K-12 students for the 2025-2026 school year. All students will be eligible for a free breakfast for the 25-26 School Year. A breakfast meal consists of an entrée item, fruit and/or fruit juice, and milk. A fruit or juice must be taken for breakfast to be free of charge. 
● One free breakfast meal per enrolled student per school day 
● Second breakfast meals can be purchased after the first breakfast is received free of charge. Students must have money in their lunch account for their second breakfast meal, but the first is still free.
● Students will enter their Student ID number into the pin pad at the register once their meal is selected 
● Student ID number is also known as their “S” number in most schools 
● All Pennridge Schools serve breakfast every day in the cafeteria

This new program also categorizes students who qualify for reduced lunches to receive free lunch. The first meal is free, and a second meal or ala carte can be purchased. Students must have funds in their lunch account to purchase ala carte or a second meal. Free and reduced lunch status will continue to depend on individual family eligibility.

Families who qualify are encouraged to participate in the Free or Reduced Meal program to help offset the cost of daily lunch.

We are accepting Free and Reduced lunch applications for 2025-2026 school year.  Applications must be completed each school year.  We must have a new application on file by October 10, 2025 or your child will no longer receive free or reduced meals. Click on the icon below to apply.

You may also apply online at www.compass.state.pa.us   Applications are available through the office of your child’s school or the Nutritional Services Department. 

Confidentiality: School officials will use the information on the Household Application to decide if your child is eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals.  The eligibility status of your child may be given to local Title 1 officials for allocation and evaluation purposes.

Reapplication:  You may apply for this program anytime during the school year.  If you are not presently eligible but have a change during the school year such as a decrease in household income, an increase in household size, unemployment, or receiving SNAP or TANF benefits for your child, you may complete a Household Application at that time. 

You will be notified if your Household Application is approved or denied.  If your application is approved for free or reduced-price meals, your child will be eligible for both BREAKFAST AND LUNCH meals.

All schools have an automated Online Payment System in the cafeterias.  All students have a school lunch account.  To add money to their lunch account, simply send cash or a check to school (made payable to Pennridge Nutritional Services).

Online payments can be made by visiting www.ezschoolpay.com.  Ezschoolpay accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover or electronic debit of a checking account.  Additionally, student purchases can be viewed on this website.

Each student’s ID number is their Pennridge Student ID number.  If you don’t have this number, feel free to call our office at 215-453-2353.

Transferring money between siblings:

If you would like to transfer money from one child’s account to another, please email wlorah@pennridge.org or call the Nutritional Services office at 215-453-2766.   We will be happy to assist you.
