Clubs, Sports, and Activities

The Pennridge Cyber Academy offers the flexibility of a virtual education without sacrificing the strength, pride, and community of Pennridge.

Our Cyber Academy offers students the flexibility of taking classes on their own schedule. All courses are aligned to Pennsylvania Core Standards and are taught by highly qualified, Pennsylvania-certified teachers. Our classes are taught by either Pennridge teachers or Pennsylvania-certified teachers who work with our course providers. All students enrolled in our program have the support of their designated guidance counselor and a cyber liaison.

Unlike outside cyber charter schools, you remain a Pennridge student, enjoy full access to district resources, and graduate with a respected Pennridge High School diploma. Students in our Cyber Academy also enjoy:

  • Provides a flexible academic schedule
  • The ability to easily incorporate yourself with all Pennridge clubs and activities
  • We offer in-person support to help students stay on track and meet academic goals

Did You Know This About Non-Pennridge Cyber Charter Schools?

Studies and Evidence show that Pennsylvania students in private cyber charter schools:

  • Experience significantly weaker academic growth compared to brick-and-mortar district peers—losing the equivalent of up to a full academic year in math learning progress each year
  • Cyber charters often lack deep, consistent local oversight—many operate under expired charters and have limited ongoing state audits or accountability, and these students are generally excluded from district-based extracurricular activities, culture, and school identity.
  • A state audit found these schools legally stockpile taxpayer dollars in reserves and spend on gift cards, staff bonuses, parties, and events, unrelated to classroom learning, and receive inflated per-pupil funding from Pennridge taxes. These widely ranging tuition rates, up to $25,000+ per student, regardless of their actual costs, take resources and opportunities from our local students and classrooms.
