Teaching & Learning- The Foundation of Our Students' Success

The K-12 years are crucial for children's growth and learning. The Pennridge School District is dedicated to offering the best acadmic experience that includes rigor and support designed to meet the needs of each student at every learning level.

The curricular programs are aligned with the district mission and the Pennsylvania Academic and Core Standards. They are intended to prepare all students to be college and career-ready upon graduation from our schools, which includes the acquisition of the knowledge, concepts, and skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing global society. The instructional best practices are designed to acknowledge and appreciate the diverse interests, abilities, and learning styles of all students in our program. Pennridge graduates excel academically and leave us prepared for success based on the real-world experiences we provide, wherever their path takes them.

K-12 Curriculum

Curriculum serves as the framework for planned instruction and is designed in a way that will result in achievement for all students. Curriculum in Pennridge is designed to meet or exceed academic standards and consists of the following components:

The administration and faculty of Pennridge School District are committed to the development of a curriculum that balances the core skills and knowledge contained within the state's academic standards with the development of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and research skills known to prepare students for success in meeting their college and/or career goals after graduation.

Curriculum maps are tools Pennridge School District teachers use to keep track of what has been taught.  These maps also serve as a roadmap or plan of what will be taught.  The creation of a curriculum map includes collecting and recording curriculum data that identifies core content and skills, processes used, and assignments for each grade level and subject area.
