  • Dale Bautista Dale M Bautista, MD

Sports Medicine Physician at Grand View Health

Dr. Bautista grew up in Philadelphia, where he attended Temple University for his undergraduate studies and started his professional career in genetics research. He attended medical school at the American University of the Caribbean, and later returned for his residency training at Einstein Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He completed his fellowship specialty training in sports medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and remained in the Lehigh Valley for the first decade of his career.

Dr. Bautista spent over a decade as team physician for NCAA Division I sports. He founded a sports medicine specialty fellowship training program in affiliation with Temple University, for which he remained director of sports medicine for the duration of its existence, training other young physicians to become sports medicine experts.

He now continues his vocation of sports medicine, treating the active patient, in Montgomery and Bucks counties, with his colleagues at Upper Bucks Orthopedics at Grand View Health.

Dr. Bautista maintains an interest in endurance athletes and outdoor sports, as well as chronic tendinosis and the recreational athlete. He believes that motion and fitness are the key to longevity and decreasing health risks, and that a large part of his role in treating patients is first educating the patient on the mechanics of injury processes. When he is not taking care of patients, he likes to spend his free time on his mountain bike or trail running with his wife and daughter.
