Dr. Stephen Cashman, Principal of PHS

Hello and Welcome to Pennridge High School.

Along with our amazing team of administrators, our focus at Pennridge High School is to provide an environment where students and teachers can grow and learn together.  We strive daily to ensure that our high school is a safe place, as well as one where students are at the center of every decision we make as a team. As it states above, Pennridge High School is a vibrant community serving students in grades 9-12. We have high expectations, but also create a conducive environment allowing high achievement for all. All learners are welcome here and we design learning to match each student and meet them where they are in their academic journey while striving together to not only cross the finish line of a high school diploma, but also prepare them for the career, college, workforce, and military pathways that they seek.

Please reach out to me or our other PHS Administration team members if you have any questions or concerns about your child or the educational programs we provide here at Pennridge.

Links to us can also be found on our District Administration page linked here.

Sincerely,

Dr. Stephen Cashman

Biography and Background:

Dr. Cashman grew up in Roxborough, Philadelphia.  After high school, he attended Temple University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Criminology with a specialization in Juvenile Behavior.  During his time working within the Juvenile Probation Department, he was enamored by the positivity and compassion the teachers displayed as they worked with a difficult population. This led Dr. Cashman to pursue a career in education.  With a master’s degree in Education from Eastern College, a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Delaware Valley College, and a doctorate from Delaware Valley University, Dr. Cashman has more than 20 years of educational experience with nearly 20 years of administrative experience at both the elementary and secondary levels. The doctoral work completed by Dr. Cashman focused on teachers as change agents; more specifically, which allows some teachers to manage and navigate change more successfully than others.
