  • Elementary Progress Reports

Student Report Cards or Progress Reports have always been viewed as a communication tool to report individual student growth over time toward the mastery of instructional objectives. This rationale remains the same for the new Pennridge School District Progress Report that is based upon student mastery of curriculum goals and objectives.

  • Continua

Parents will receive information describing their child’s developmental progress at the end of the first and fourth marking periods. Parents will have the opportunity to discuss this information with their child’s teacher at the fall parent conference and at other times, upon request.

It is likely that students will exhibit variable progress through developmental stages, depending upon the specific aspect of the learning process and upon the student’s own aptitudes.

The target developmental stage for each grade level is noted on each continuum. This is the stage in the sequence that most children reach on most aspects of the continuum by the end of the year.

  • Goals & Objectives

Each marking period parents will receive information about their child’s progress on specific objectives.

  • Parent Orientation & Information

Parents will have questions on a variety of levels. The most fundamental questions may focus on district academic goals and the curricula that our students are taught based upon those goals. The Pennridge School District Instructional Goals dovetail with and extend the academic standards set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. They represent a body of knowledge reflecting what students should know and can demonstrate they are able to do. Student knowledge may be demonstrated in myriad ways through balanced assessment of student growth and ability.
