Principles of Science is a basic level science course. It is intended to be the third science course that students who are not planning on attending a four-year school would enroll in to meet their graduation requirements. It is intended for juniors and seniors. Many who would have had biology in ninth grade and most likely, earth & space science in tenth grade.

During one semester, the students will study basic chemistry. The students will be studying basic physics during the other semester.

The class meets one period per day. During classtime, there will be many opportunities for the students to be involved in mini-labs and inquiry activities.
