Goal:

The goal of the APES course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand interrelationships of the natural world, to identfiy and analyze environmental problems both natural and man-made, to evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and to examine alternative solutions for resolvig and/or preserving them. Students are encourage to take the AP examination in May

 

Prerequisites:

Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (B or better grade is recommended). Juniors may elect both Chemistry and APES during garde 11 with the approval of the counselor and the Science Supervisor.

 

This is a year long course that meets 8 periods in a 6 day cycle.
